How we handle the personal information and documents you send us when you apply for a loan.
Who we are
SRL Financial Services (Pty) Ltd (company registration number 2025/566508/07, NCR registration number NCRCP22601), of 323 Jeff Masemola Street, Pretoria 0002, is the responsible party for the personal information described in this notice.
What we collect
When you apply for a loan through this website we collect your full names, email address, cellphone number, the loan amount and term you are applying for, and the day of the month you are paid. You also upload your identity document, three months of bank statements and your recent payslips.
Our server additionally records the IP address the application was submitted from, and the date and time of submission, as a fraud-prevention measure.
Why we collect it
We use your information for one purpose: to assess your loan application, including the affordability assessment we are required to conduct in terms of section 81 of the National Credit Act, and to administer your loan agreement if your application is approved.
We may share your information with credit bureaux and payment processors where this is necessary to assess your application or to collect repayments, and with regulators where the law requires it. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to third-party lenders or brokers.
How we store it
Documents you upload are stored on our server outside the publicly accessible area of this website, in a directory that cannot be reached from a web browser. Access is restricted to authorised staff assessing applications.
How long we keep it
Where a loan agreement is concluded, we retain your records for the period required by the National Credit Act and by tax legislation. Where an application is declined or abandoned, we retain the application only for as long as necessary for our audit and fraud-prevention obligations.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, object to our processing of your information, or ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Cookies
This website uses a single session cookie, which exists only to protect the application form against cross-site request forgery. It carries no advertising or tracking function and is discarded when you close your browser.
